Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PermitPrep.AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PermitPrep.AI is an AI-powered decision-support platform that analyzes architectural drawing sets for building code compliance. The Service generates reports cross-referencing uploaded drawings against applicable local, state, and international building codes.

3. Important Disclaimers

PermitPrep.AI is a decision-support tool only. Reports generated by the Service are NOT permit approvals, professional engineering opinions, or certified code reviews. All final code compliance determinations must be made by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Users should not rely solely on PermitPrep.AI reports for permitting or construction decisions.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and promptly update it if it changes.

5. Subscription and Billing

Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: reverse-engineering the AI engine, uploading malicious files, sharing account credentials, or representing AI-generated reports as certified professional opinions.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all drawings and documents you upload. PermitPrep.AI retains ownership of the Service, its AI models, and report templates. Generated reports are licensed to you for your internal use only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PermitPrep.AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or project delays arising from use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
